Things are starting to feel a little more active out there this spring, especially in the detached market. Detached homes have been picking up momentum lately, while condos and townhomes are still moving a bit slower, so we’re seeing a bit of a split between market segments right now. As almost always - well-priced, well-marketed properties are moving at quite a clip. These properties are still receiving multiple offers and being scooped up quickly by astute buyers.

What’s interesting is detached homes have often been the first sign of a market shift, so there’s some curiosity around whether condos and townhomes might follow as we head into summer. Nothing too crazy yet, but there’s definitely a feeling that some pent-up demand could start creeping back in over the next few months.
