Market Update | August 2025 🍉 August brought a Market Update | August 2025 🍉 August brought a hint of sunshine to Metro Vancouver’s housing market. Softer prices tempted more buyers back into the game, pushing sales modestly higher than last year. Detached houses and townhomes were the big draw, suggesting that even buyers at higher price points are starting to test the waters again. On the supply side, more listings hit the market, giving buyers plenty of options to choose from. But with prices easing just enough to spark activity, that extra breathing room may not last forever. Sellers are showing more flexibility, buyers are more willing to engage, and the result is a healthier pace of transactions compared to earlier this year. The market still isn’t roaring - it’s more of a cautious shuffle forward - but the tone feels different. After a rocky first half of 2025, the balance between buyers and sellers seems to be improving. For now, it remains a good moment for buyers to explore the market with choice still abundant and prices softened.
